The 28th International Financial Congress

International Financial Congress took place on July 3–5, 2019 in Saint Petersburg

This event was first held in 1992, and is currently the largest Russian event in the financial sector. Among the keynote speakers and participants of the Congress are representatives of financial regulatory institutions, the largest Russian and foreign banks, professional organizations and renowned experts. During the Congress, a number of plenary sessions, keynote speeches and discussions were held that focused on key aspects of the current state of financial markets. 

To provide expedient solutions to organizational issues on all stages of the event, the #1 Event Management System was implemented. The software provided a platform to resolve, among others, the following issues: The software provided a platform to resolve, among others, the following issues:

  • organizing 17 automated accreditation desks for participants;
  • concluding 523 contracts of 32 different types;
  • setting up the access control system throughout event venues (12 indoor checkpoints and 6 handheld access control devices);
  • informing participants by way of a bulk mailing system, which sent 36,260 messages in total.

The system was able to handle the high workload well, given the large number of people attending the event. Overall, 3,559 badges were issued throughout the event. Over the course of three days, 34,724 entries were processed by the access control system.

In order for everything to go smoothly, 41 EMS1 plugins were deployed. The modular structure of the software allows for simple adaptation to the needs of a specific event to resolve typical and unique issues throughout the event and during its preparation stage. As a result, time required to resolve these issues is significantly reduced, as many repetitive tasks are fully automated. And the smooth organization of the International Financial Congress was yet another testament to this.
