Russian Energy Week International Forum 2019

The Russian Energy Week, which took place on October 2–5, 2019 in Moscow, was without a doubt an important event for the industry. The Forum was attended by a large number of Russian and foreign participants; most importantly, CEOs of power generation companies, representatives of various government structures on all levels, as well as international experts and organizations within the industry. The Plenary Session of the event was attended by Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation.  

The number of attendees set a new record for Russian Energy Week. Multiple meetings, sessions and discussions—focusing on the key issues of the power generation industry—were held as part of the Forum. These issues pertain not only to the development of the industry in Russia and implementation of national projects, but also to the industry across the globe. During the Forum, several very important documents were signed on the cooperation between Russian companies on regional and federal levels, and their foreign partners.

The standards for organizing such events are very high. EMS1 Event Management System is comprehensive software that allows for automation of a number of crucial tasks that arise during organization and throughout the course of a large-scale event. 50 modules were used for the Forum, which encompassed most of the organizational issues:

• in total, 12,844 badges were issued;
• an access control system was implemented that processed 53,351 entries, with 253 of those being made with mobile devices;
• 15 checkpoints and 4 cell phones were set up to control access to the event;
• more than 216,000 newsletters and notifications were sent to participants of the event.

By using EMS1, the organizers were able to significantly reduce the amount of time and resources necessary for event organization and provide high-quality service to all the participants.
